Open a WhatsApp chat with a prefilled message
Example: Number: +15551234567; message: Hi, I scanned the shop sign and would like a quote.
- Enter a number registered with WhatsApp, including the country code.
- Write a short message naming the request or sign location so your team has context.
- Download the QR and scan it on a phone used by your audience.
- Check the recipient and draft message. Opening a chat does not send that message automatically.
What happens after a scan
The generator creates a wa.me URL and encodes the message text for you. Whether it opens in an app or browser depends on the device and installed software. A scan alone does not identify a lead or open the Business Platform's customer service window.
What the code reveals
The number and prefilled message are public. Avoid personal or sensitive information in the message. Record a lead only after a message arrives, and obtain appropriate permission before subsequent marketing contact.
Using SVG
SVG stores vector shapes, so a designer can resize the code without pixel blur. Use it for print layouts and large signs when your design or print software accepts SVG. Preserve the square proportions and white margin when placing it.
